When I was a child in Germany, today was a regularly celebrated holiday… Fairs, May-Poles, all-day celebrations. As a child I had no idea about political views, left, right, or otherwise. May Day is not the only holiday people find controversial though… In fact, I struggle to think of a holiday that hasn’t found some major controversy. It’s an interesting world we live in, and these are especially interesting times.
