About
We are the LaPierre’s, John and Wendy, from Columbus, Georgia. Wendy is an RN, and I am a Forecast Analyst for the company you see on my shirt. The Grand Canyon is our second favorite destination, right behind the Grand Children.
We have two beautiful daughters who married very good men, and a great son that married a very special girl… We count them as six children. Between these three couples, we are up to five grands so far, with room for more.
Wendy was born and raised here in the great south; I am an army brat, born and raised around the world.
In addition to our wonderful children, we keep a herd of animals that we rescue from shelters, pounds, and even one from a dumpster. Wendy loves animals like they’re her babies, and I… well, lets just say I love her. Actually, I do of course love animals, and appreciate all life. I just don’t always cuddle with it.
I believe in and use Free and Open Source Software, and have been using Linux and/or *BSD for over 13 years. This site, and everything I do on my computers, is done with Open Source software and operating systems. In addition to rescuing animals, I have rescued many old PC’s, and although I have given some away, I admit, most of them I (still) enjoy myself.

Wendy! Thanks so much for sharing this with me today. I have thoroughly enjoyed the pictures and videos of your family. You have always been a blessing and it’s so good to see how blessed you are in return.

Just cruising the web for family stuff and found a familiar name (even spelled corrrect!) I live in so fla. 35 years now. I am an original. I have an uncle and grandmother by the same last name up in your neck of the woods. Im not sure what city you are in compared to Union City, but they are up in Ga. none the less. My Ex father in law was big in geneology, but as the Ex indicates, i no longer have access to that. Just wanted to drop a line seeing you have a desireable last name.

Thanks for the hello Eric! We are 100 miles south and west of Union City. Our roots go mack to Haverhil, MA and Montreal Canada 3 generations back.
